The Outlook for Pulp & Paper in a
Changing Global Climate

Hawkins Wright and TerraChoice MSI jointly presented the 2008 Pulp & Paper Strategies Conference in Miami on 13-14 February 2008.

We have received some very encouraging feedback from the delegates...

“The content [of the conference] was comprehensive and high quality”

“Overall quality was great. Great topics and speakers”

“Valuable new information and content about how to prepare for the future”

The presentations made at the conference are listed below. Registered delegates may download the presentations by using the instructions they have already received.

However, if you were unable to attend the conference and would like to receive the presentations, access is available for a fee of US$500 (or £250). (See below for information about how to subscribe.)

Also, delegates and non-delegates can subscribe to two opinion surveys that were commissioned exclusively for the conference.

  • The first analyzes the results of omnibus questions fielded by GlobeScan, a leader in public opinion and stakeholder research, based on interviews conducted among a sample of 2,000 adults in China and the USA, between December 2007 and January 2008. The questions relate to consumers’ perceptions of the environmental attributes of paper, paper vs. plastic and test key messages that improve consumers’ acceptance of ‘paper’. The results are very positive for ‘paper’ and will be of interest to those involved in paper marketing, public and stakeholder relations and business planning.
  • The second report analyses the results of a similar but more detailed survey of 200 professional purchasers in North America undertaken in January 2008 by TerraChoice Environmental Services Inc. In addition to questions about the environmental attributes of paper and paper vs. plastic, the survey also asked what kind of environmental information professional buyers want to receive and their awareness of and perceived credibility of various certified environmental reporting systems and labels in use today.

This is what delegates said about the surveys... “Both surveys were of interest and highly relevant at this time.” “The results of the surveys were very interesting and valuable.”

A report on each survey is available for a fee of US$285 (or £142.50).
